Business demands ministry

Two weeks before the elections, 12 associations representing different sectors of the economy also came up with an economic platform that they would present to political parties.

Luan Bregasi of "Bussines Albania" says the economic programs so far presented by the parties are beyond reality and wants to hear the voice of the business.

"Looking at these promises that have been released a bit more than our economy, we would like this platform to become with us entrepreneurs who know better where our economy is losing," said the head of "Business Albania" , Luan Bregasi.

Business requires revising some taxes.

"The moderate reduction in the VAT level and the downward escalation for specific sectors, the revision of local taxes for manufacturing industries, are very high local taxes," said Bregasi.

Other pillars are the development of vocational education, the reduction of costs for farmers. While in tourism entrepreneurs demanded that the VAT reduction begin to be implemented as soon as possible.

"Sub-legal acts should be prepared, because on June 6 this law should come into effect and because of technical ministers, this is not yet done," he says. But the most daring request of the associations seems to be the division of the Ministry of Trade and Industry as a separate ministry in the next governmental composition, while its head is proposed and dismissed by the business itself.
